We were woken up by an obnoxious banging on our cabin door by some of the people who had helped set up the trip with Steve the maintenance guy here,
and were not happy about that let me tell you, but w
e got up and were all ready to go by 7a the scheduled time that the bus was supposed to meet us in front of Bective court
right? yea well while everyone who didn't set up this trip with Steve was standing out front waiting for the bus, the people who had come and banged on everyone elses doors like there was a fire in the place had went back to their cabin and i dont know fallen back asleep??? because they didn't make it out into the nice rainy 50degree weather until fifteen min later, then two of the boys we found out were still taking showers so we had to wait another fifteen for them. So our morning started off really great.
Then we drove to Loughcrew, which turns out is on a big ass
And everyone else kept fallin
g, which was kinda funny to me, but Tanisha was getting so pissed off, she fell I think like 5 times going up and down. And finally she just stormed down the rest of the hill and started rambling about not wanting to be here anymore, and why did we have to treck up the hill in the rain. Like I said funny to me, but she was getting way pissed off, and started calling Rachel small hill for the rest of the day because she told us th
at Loughcrew was just up at the top of a small
hill, not much of a climb. Yea ri
ght.
Well after Loughcrew we went to Newgrange which was kinda cool once you got there,
I mean the history behind it and the whole light shining in on Solst
ice is really amazing. We couldn't take pictur
es from inside, but from the outside it was pretty cool looking in my opinion. Everything that we did though was like 10 miles away from whatever we wanted to see, so me being the really smart person that I am decided to wear my converse shoes, yea well they were soaked in the first 10 min at Loughcrew, and by the time we made it to Newgrange my feet were little icicles. So we splashed through the water and puddles to get to a bus area, then we got on the bus and went to go see Newgrange. It was like I said pretty cool to hear about, but its kinda sucky that they dont know a lit
tle bit more about why its there or what it was used for you know. But when we got out it was raining and we walked around the o
utside of it which was neat because there were stones with carvings on them and
stuff,
but I was so cold and didnt have an umbrella so I was just getting wet and had to run to the bus that took us back to the station where we had to walk through more rain to get to the building where we could buy souveneirs and stuff, then we got to walk through more rain to get to our bus that we arrived in. It was great fun.
Then we did the whole castle ruins thing at King Johns Castle...looks amazing from the outside doesn't it...
yea i thought so too, and then I figure
d out O gees there is only an outside, you cant look at the inside at all its all locked off, why i dont know its not like you can ruin it, they are castle ruins...but whatever they were pretty and nice to look at but there is only so much that you can look at before it all looks the same you know...And that is really all that I have to say about King Johns Castle because really, there wasn't much to look at...and I was freezing my ass off because we were right next to the water and it was starting to rain again, so the wind was whipping the rain into my face, it was
awesome!!!
So the last place we went to was Ardgillan, It was more pretty from the outside than the inside,
because nothing on the inside was actually suppose to be in the building it was all modeled to look after the era, or they may have had something that could have looked like that at one point in time. Very sketch stuff was going on with that tour, plus we got there when they were about to close, yet somehow we got the most talkative man they had in the building. We weren't supposed to take video or photography while we were in the castle, but me being me took a video of almost the whole tour, just for the sake of doing it, it was great fun!!! But yea that was our trip for the whole day, after we left the last castle we came back to the cabins and just chilled, got out of our wet, cold clothes, came up for dinner, and then hung back at the cabins.
